Design Process

Design is an iterative & collaborative process

My design process draws upon tried-and-true techniques while allowing flexibility to customize for each product’s unique needs. At the core, three key phases drive projects from initial problem identification through to an optimal user experience:

Deeply understand the problem space and user needs through research. I immerse myself in the context by reviewing relevant data, observing behaviors firsthand, and interviewing a diverse range of stakeholders to pinpoint primary challenges and insights.

Brainstorm wide-ranging creative solutions, pushing edges yet grounding ideas in learnings from research. I rapid prototype and pre-test concepts at varying fidelities, failing early to hone ideas with the most viability. Whiteboard sketches, workflow diagrams, user scenarios, and interactive prototypes allow collaborative evaluation.

Rigorously improve the end-to-end experience iteratively, measuring against research insights. Design is a team sport so I facilitate co-creation sessions, ensuring all perspectives shape solutions. Through agile sprints, the collective wisdom of stakeholders converges on experiences uniquely fitted to user needs.

I believe excellence lies in balancing art and science - fusing an adaptable framework and toolkit allowing both creative flourish and objective best practices tailored case-by-case. My continuously expanding toolkit equips me to lead strategy and execution delivering successful outcomes across diverse products and challenges.
